Amount of white

The amount of white for Norwegian Forest Cats is specified in 4 different EMS codes, that is described below. Norwegian Forest Cats will be registered according to the amount of white, but on exhibitions they are shown in their respective colour groups irrespective of the amount of white. A van cat can for instance meet a cat with only white paws in the same class.

The code 09 is used to the traditional amount of white, for instance those that have white only at shirt breasts and their paws. In addition to the code 09, these EMS codes are used:
01 for van, 02 for harlequin and 03 for bicolour.
